About Lichtvision Engineering
Lichtvision Engineering GmbH is a Berlin-based engineering company specialising in DALI lighting control. We develop the PROBIT® test, certification and diagnostic tools, operate a DiiA-accredited DALI test house and support manufacturers with consulting and product development. Our engineering activities date back to 1997, and we are part of the Lichtvision Group.
What we do
We build tools for every stage of a DALI product's life. ProbitLab2 is the DiiA-approved hardware platform on which the official IEC 62386 test sequences for DALI-2 and D4i certification are run. ProbitGears simulates up to 65 DALI control gear in real time for development and testing. ProbitSite is a DALI-2 certified handheld diagnostic instrument for installers and commissioning engineers. Alongside the tools, we carry out DALI-2 certification testing in our Berlin laboratory and offer strategic consulting, product development and DALI training.
Our role in DALI standardisation
Lichtvision Engineering has worked on the DALI standard since its early days. Managing Director Karsten Heinrich is Convenor of IEC TC 34 Working Group 11, which is responsible for IEC 62386, and received the IEC 1906 Award in 2025 for his contribution to the standard. We are a member of the DALI Alliance (DiiA) and are listed as a DiiA-accredited test house.
