Second ProbitSite Distributor Conference: a first look at App 1.3

On 21 October 2026 we welcomed our distribution partners from Europe, Asia and Oceania to the second ProbitSite Distributor Conference, held online. The centrepiece was a live demonstration of the upcoming ProbitSite Windows App 1.3 and its extended diagnostic functions.

A first look at ProbitSite App 1.3

Until now, the ProbitSite Windows App has been the place to import scans, organise them by project and produce test reports. Version 1.3 adds a dedicated DALI Log view that turns recorded bus traffic into something an installer can read and act on.

    • DALI Log visualisation: system events such as scan start and scan end alongside every recorded DALI frame, each with timestamp, idle time to the previous frame and decoded address.
    • Bit-timing violations highlighted: frames that break the DALI timing are marked directly in the log, so physical layer problems become visible next to the traffic that caused them.
    • Per-device signal quality in the scan view: each device on the bus is listed with its DALI version, certification status, short and random address, and a green, yellow or red signal quality indicator.
    • Search, export and chart: filter frames, export the log as CSV, or open it as a chart for further analysis.

App 1.3 is designed to work together with firmware 1.6. We recommend updating both once they are released. Further details will follow before release.

    Firmware 1.6: DALI Configuration Swap

Firmware 1.6, planned for the end of 2026, brings DALI Configuration Swap. ProbitSite reads the complete DALI configuration from a device, and after the faulty control gear has been replaced, writes the saved configuration into the new one. The control system sees the same device it saw before, with no recommissioning and no PC on site. Firmware 1.6 also extends on-device editing to the common DALI parameters, building on the short address editing introduced with Expert Mode in firmware 1.5.

    Where ProbitSite stands

More than 600 ProbitSite units are now in use across all markets, supported by 17 distribution partners. Since the first conference, Nylund (Finland), MCS (Portugal) and Kitoko Group (Türkiye, Georgia, Azerbaijan) have joined the network. The ProbitSite product pages are now available in twelve languages, with Swedish, Finnish and Danish completing the Nordic markets, and our DALI Knowledge Base documents real fault cases for the person on site.

Many thanks to all partners who joined, asked questions and shared their own DALI cases from the field. The next distributor conference is planned for spring 2027.
